Hi Literacy Lovers,

We were thrilled to be featured writers on a recent Wit & Wisdom Aha Blog! called Unlocking Reading Comprehension: The Power of Activating Prior Knowledge. We had so much fun discussing the importance activating prior knowledge to help unlock reading comprehension, sharing our own knowledge, and, of course, a few of our podcast episodes that helped inform our writing.

We defined and explored what prior knowledge is and how it affects reading comprehension, shared ideas for how to overcome a lack of prior knowledge and how to move forward with knowledge building in the foreground, and lastly, what topics help build knowledge.

We hope you have as much fun reading about teaching reading as we did guest writing!
